Marib: EXU for IDPs and OCHA Discuss Humanitarian Projects

Marib – Saif Muthanna, the Director-General of the Executive Unit for IDP Camps Management (EXU for IDPs) in Marib Governorate, met today with Osama Al-Bitar, the Director of the OCHA office in Marib, to discuss the implementation progress of humanitarian and development projects in the governorate.
During the meeting, they reviewed the most prominent ongoing interventions in the emergency and relief sectors and discussed ways to enhance joint coordination between the two sides. They also explored mechanisms for mobilizing further interventions and finding local partners to work in the emergency sector, aiming to accelerate the pace of the humanitarian response and improve the humanitarian situation for the displaced and the host community in the governorate.
Muthanna praised the positive role played by OCHA in Marib Governorate, commending its efforts as a humanitarian coordinator for the projects and interventions of humanitarian partners, which contribute to alleviating the suffering of the displaced. He called for continued partnership and cooperation to achieve a sustainable impact that serves the most vulnerable groups.
For his part, Al-Bitar affirmed OCHA’s commitment to expanding the scope of interventions by humanitarian partners and intensifying its efforts in cooperation with the EXU for IDPs and other relevant authorities to enhance the humanitarian response in the governorate.
