ExU IDPs Affiliates Comment on International Organizations’ Complaint

Employees of the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons’ Camps (ExU IDPs) in Yemen express their strong condemnation of the obstacles created by the unit’s previous leadership.
The ExU IDPs affiliates affirm that these practices, which harm both the displaced individuals and the unit’s employees, do not represent them. Instead, they themselves are victims of these arbitrary practices, which have resulted in a decline in donor support for the executive unit and for projects aimed at supporting the displaced in Yemen.
The attached document reveals a complaint submitted by international organizations against the executive unit and its leadership.
It is noteworthy that the Yemeni government, in partnership with international organizations in Yemen—foremost among them United Nations organizations—recently held three workshops in the capital, Aden, on sustainable solutions for displacement issues in Yemen. The unit’s leadership, represented by Najeeb Al-Saadi, was excluded from attending or participating. Instead, the official representative of the Executive Unit in Aden is the director of the unit’s office appointed by the Governor of Aden, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sufi.
