The annual report issued by the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps in Yemen revealed that 7,211 new families were displaced during 2023, compared to the return of 829 families to their original homes during the same year.

The report showed that the number of new displaced people monitored by the Executive Unit (in areas controlled by the legitimate government) from January to December 31, 2023, reached 7,211 families (39,417 individuals). These families left 9 governorates (13 districts) and were distributed over 10 governorates (31 districts).

In addition, the Executive Unit monitored, from January 1 to December 31, 2023, the displaced people who left their current displacement governorates to other governorates, where the number reached 202 families (903 individuals). These families were displaced from 20 governorates (258 districts) and were distributed over 10 governorates (54 districts).

According to the report, the number of returnees to their original homes from January 1 to December 31, 2023, reached 829 families (3,994 individuals). They returned to their original homes from 9 governorates (29 districts) to 7 governorates (43 districts).
